Pilgrim is now available on Audible!

After multiple requests to provide an audio version of Pilgrim I finally bit the bullet. With some help from Trevor Datsun, a writing buddy who is also an experienced audio-technician, I turned my airing cupboard into a recording studio. There was just enough space to slide in a desk chair and with the the mic propped on a shelf completely surrounded by pillows and duvets it was certainly cosy. I’m a bit claustrophobic so I wasn’t sure how it would work, but once I was in ‘the zone’ I found myself back in the open spaces of the Camino Frances and loving every second! Lee Beddows did the post-production work and his expertise turned my recordings into something I feel really proud to have made. It’s quite a thing, listening to your own voice. Initially, playing back the recordings made my toes curled. It felt almost unbearable. But the more I did it, the easier it became. The experience has made me feel a little more comfortable in my own company – and that’s got to be a good thing! Have a listen. It’s available on Audible.
